Born into poverty as the middle child of four siblings in Timbaúba, a small town in northern Brazil, Julia faced formidable challenges from an early age. Despite the hardships of living without electricity or running water, her upbringing instilled in her a fierce ambition for a better future.

As she matured, Julia found her path in the competitive world of modeling, a career that not only provided opportunities to travel extensively but also fueled her curiosity for diverse cultures. Fluent in Portuguese, English, Japanese, Spanish, Italian, and French, she immersed herself in the intricacies of each country she visited, broadening her perspective and understanding of the world.

Transitioning from modeling to filmmaking, Julia ventured into writing and producing, demonstrating her versatility and passion for storytelling. Her production credits include “Before Sunrise” (2020), while her screenwriting and acting debut came with “LEAVES” (2021), a poignant short film addressing environmental issues such as climate change, wildfires, and deforestation. In “LEAVES,” Julia’s portrayal of an introspective woman finding solace in nature resonated deeply, marking the beginning of a purpose-driven creative phase in her career.

Continuing her commitment to social advocacy through art, Julia is currently working on her latest project, “ALORNOMORE,” a film confronting the pervasive issue of violence against women. Her dedication to this cause earned her the prestigious “Premio Luiza Brunet” award in London, underscoring her impact as both an artist and a humanitarian.
