Jude Peter Damian is a distinguished Fellow Chartered Accountant (CA) hailing from Chennai, India, boasting an impressive professional tenure spanning over 30 years in corporate work related to the CA profession. While his expertise lies in the domain of finance, Damian’s passion extends beyond balance sheets and ledgers.

In 2020-21, Damian embarked on a creative journey by enrolling in a course on Film Direction at the renowned “LV Prasad Film & TV Academy” in Chennai.

This decision marked a pivotal moment in his career trajectory, steering him toward the realm of filmmaking. His debut venture into cinema, “SHASHTHI,” emerged in early 2022 as a short film with a runtime of approximately half an hour. This poignant creation garnered widespread acclaim, clinching over 75 awards, including nominations, from more than 35 international film festivals. The accolades testify to Damian’s innate talent and dedication to the craft. “SHASHTHI” has since been made available on prominent streaming platforms like Apple TV and Google TV, further solidifying Damian’s presence in the cinematic landscape.

Undeterred by his initial success, Damian continued to push creative boundaries. In early 2023, he unveiled his second short film titled “SARAS,” boasting a runtime of fifteen minutes.

Once again, Damian’s directorial prowess shone through as “SARAS” amassed over 70 awards, including nominations, from 20 international film festivals. Both “SHASHTHI” and “SARAS” bear testament to Damian’s multifaceted talents as he not only directed but also wrote and produced these cinematic gems.

As Damian looks ahead to 2024, he harbors ambitious plans to elevate his craft further. With a resolve to create at least two short films of superior quality, Damian aims to make significant contributions to Indian cinema. His unwavering commitment to artistic excellence and storytelling promises to leave an indelible mark on the cinematic landscape, cementing his status as a visionary filmmaker.
